Nothing says summer like a barbeque, and being gluten-free doesn't mean you need to miss out! Dig into a delicious, vegan beetroot burger, made using our quick and easy falafel mix. Topped with chilli jam for a sweet and spicy kick.
160g Amisa Falafel Mix
1 tbsp beetroot powder or 1 cooked beetroot, blended into a puree
4 gluten free brioche buns
Red onion, sliced
Olive oil, for frying
- Make the falafel mix as per the packet instructions – when adding the water to the falafel mix, include the beetroot powder or blended beetroot.
- Once slightly cool, shape the mix into 4 patties.
- Heat 2 tbsp of oil in a frying pan over a medium heat, add the patties to the pan and gently fry until golden brown.
- Once the patties are cooked, start to assemble the burgers. Add mayonnaise to the bottom bun, then the rocket, followed by the falafel patty, sliced tomato, sliced red onion and chilli jam, before adding the top bun.
